Strategy, values and mission

Together we work to ensure that everyone can live a life of dignity. We invite others to join us in this work.

Our strategy 2025-2027 – Making an Impact Together

As a social actor, we must be in constant interaction with the world around us, both nationally and internationally. The rapidly changing environment challenges us to renew ourselves. It influences our work and our decisions. The future of the welfare society, environmental and social sustainability, increasing polarisation and changes in working life now demand our special attention and drive our choices.

Three priority areas of our strategy

In our strategy, we have chosen three focus areas that will help us to be more successful in the future. Our tools for success are bold renewal, strengthening our expertise in working with special groups and building welcoming communities where we can work boldly, professionally and with heart.

A welcoming community

We create welcoming communities where trust, inclusion and agency are strengthened. We ensure that the skills and potential of our community members are realised. We aim to be an open, diverse and safe community for all.

Special groups expert

We develop effective services and activities. We know our clients who belong to different special groups and can respond to their needs. The well-being and expertise of our staff are reflected in the quality of our services and a good customer experience.

Bold renewer

We boldly tackle new circumstances and problems. We actively influence and present solutions. We also reform our operations to be more effective and sustainable.

We build welcoming communities that strengthen trust, inclusion and empowerment.

Our values, vision and mission

Our service is based on the love for neighbour, which transcends the boundaries of service provision.

  • We uphold the inalienable dignity of each and every person.
  • We defend the human rights of the most vulnerable.
  • We create opportunities to live in dignity. These values mean that we interpret love for one’s neighbour from the perspective of human dignity, fairness and community.

Our vision “A life of dignity for all” calls us all to join in the common work to courageously change the world to a more dignified one.

A life of dignity is one in which human rights are realized. A person receives security, food and drink, education, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and expression, and freedom of belief. Even in difficult situations, they receive the support they need to be equal with others. A person has the experience of being useful in their community and being needed and valuable to other people.

The mission, which stems from our everyday customer work, describes our approach to work and what our basic task is with people.

Our task is to strengthen trust, inclusion and agency.

Through respectful and equal encounters and dialogue in our various services and civic activities, we create communities where people trust each other and their own abilities. We work with people, not for them.
