Vamos helps young people towards school and employment
Vamos is a nationwide youth service package that aims to promote the social inclusion, wellbeing, education and employment of young people aged 16–29 who are not in education or employment.
What is Vamos?
Vamos helps 16–29 year-olds towards school and employment. This activity is voluntary and free of charge.
Many young people face difficulties such as mental health issues, dropping out of school, unemployment, intoxicant use, homelessness and problems in close relationships.
Young people at Vamos are allocated their own individual youth workers, who have the time to get to know them and their needs. The content and duration of the ac tivities are tailored to each young person’s individual needs.
Through Vamos’s individual and group coaching, young people receive support with their daily lives and fu ture planning, as well as help in gradually finding their way to school or work.
Vamos provides comprehensive support to young people in vulnerable situations in eleven locations from Helsinki to Rovaniemi.
